Product Description The AprilAire Model 56 Low Voltage 8-Wire Automatic Humidifier Control (Humidistat) works with your AprilAire Whole Home Humidifier to accurately maintain the relative humidity in your home. When using the included Outdoor Temperature Sensor with Automatic Mode, every 1 degree Fahrenheit change in outdoor temperature will prompt the Automatic Humidifier Control to adjust the indoor relative humidity (RH) by 1/2%. This Humidistat may also be used in Manual Mode if you prefer to adjust the humidity setting yourself.Compatible with AprilAire Whole House Humidifiers 110, 112, 445, 448, 760, 700 (almond-colored), and 768 in Power Mode; and Models 220, 224, 400, 440, 500, 550, 558, 560, 568, 600, 700 (gray-colored) in Bypass Mode. Also works with Model 800 Steam Humidifier in Power Mode. Features a Change Water Panel LED Indicator Light to remind you to regularly change the water panel in your AprilAire Humidifier. Change Water Panel setting can be adjusted if your heating season is less than 3-months or you have very hard water. The LED Indicator light also provides visual feedback of other conditions for testing or troubleshooting.This Humidifier Control must be mounted in the return air duct. For proper operation, the Humidifier Control must be at least 6 inches upstream of any of the following: Humidifier, Humidifier Bypass Ductwork (if applicable), and/or Fresh Air Intake Ductwork (if applicable). Includes a template for cutting the correct size duct opening of 3 inches H x 4.75 inches W. Model 56 also includes a gasket to help reduce air leakage between the duct and the control housing.
